The Hope Scholarship doesn’t just help a student right nowit has the power to change the trajectory of their life.

When you fund a Hope Scholarship, you pay for one Charleston student to receive a full school year of one-on-one therapy, inside their school, at no cost to their family.

Tre kept asking if he was good.

Tre is a first grader who had to grow up fast. His father was incarcerated when he was small. He saw violence at home. His older brother was diagnosed with a chronic illness.

And Tre started asking a question, over and over, of anyone who would listen. Was he good?

In a therapy room inside his own school, Tre met with a licensed clinician who worked with him through play. He used a toy medical kit to make sense of his brother's illness. He acted out what he had seen, in a place where it could not reach him.

By the end of the year his teacher noticed the change first. He seemed comfortable at school. He was playing with the other children. And he had mostly stopped asking whether he was good.

A Hope Scholarship is one child's full year of care.

Not a session. Not a stopgap. A complete course of clinical therapy, delivered inside the school day by a licensed therapist, so a family never has to find transportation, take time off work, navigate insurance, or pay a dollar.

A minimum of 12 one-on-one sessions with a licensed clinician, averaging 15 hours of care across the school year

Ongoing work with parents, teachers, and the school support team, because a child's progress has to survive outside the therapy room

A clinical assessment before and after, so growth is measured, not assumed

60 students received therapy last school year 907 hours of one-on-one care delivered 98% finished the program.
